The 2026 edition of the UK–Africa Women in Food & Agribusiness Investment Summit taking place in June 2026 right in Central London and we are currently recruiting volunteers to support the planning and delivery.. These are unpaid roles, best suited for individuals who are passionate about women, food systems, gender equity, and impact-driven work, and who are keen to gain hands-on experience and contribute meaningfully.
Why Your Role as a Volunteer is Crucial!
Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities
1. Fundraising & Partnerships Volunteers
What you will do:
- Research potential sponsors, donors, and partners (corporates, foundations, DFIs, NGOs)
- Support outreach emails and follow-ups to prospective partners
- Help prepare simple pitch decks, sponsorship lists, and partnership trackers
- Assist in securing in-kind support (venue discounts, media partnerships, refreshments, printing, etc.)
- Support relationship management before and after the event
2. Planning Committee Volunteers
What you will do:
- Support event planning meetings and coordination
- Assist with agenda development and session planning
- Help identify and liaise with speakers, moderators, and contributors
- Support logistics planning (registration flow, seating, run-of-show)
- Assist with on-the-day coordination and speaker support
3. Social Media Volunteers
What you will do:
- Create and schedule content (posts, reels, stories, countdowns)
- Support live coverage during the event (tweets, posts, photos, short videos)
- Engage with audiences by responding to comments and messages
- Track basic engagement metrics and report what’s working
- Amplify partner and speaker content
4. Marketing & Publicity Volunteers
What you will do:
- Support development of marketing messages and campaign themes
- Draft short promotional copy for email, social media, and website
- Help with media outreach (press lists, press releases, journalist follow-ups)
- Support design of simple flyers, banners, and digital assets
- Coordinate publicity timelines leading up to the event

Time Commitment
- Estimated 4–7 hours per week (flexible depending on role)
- More support may be needed in the 3–4 weeks leading up to the event
